Welcome to the Roanoke Farmers Market Page!
My name is Andi O’Briant and I will be running the Roanoke Farmer’s Market in 2016. I am reaching out to invite vendors to participate in the Roanoke Farmer’s Market this year. I have been reaching out to past vendors and getting as much feedback as possible to make this 2016 selling season the best one yet. In the past, I’ve been a vendor at a very successful Farmer’s Market in Worthington, OH, and I hope to use my past experiences and knowledge to continue building on Roanoke Farmers Market’s excellent traditions and past successes.
Our weekly scheduled entertainment will be focusing on the youth in our community. We will be welcoming them to perform or showcase their amazing talents, allowing the market to be a fun and exciting atmosphere for people of all ages while attracting both local and out of town guests to downtown Roanoke.
There will be 9 Regular markets this season (with 1 optional Car Show Market if you would like to participate). This year we will be lowering the price of a booth space to $10 a week (last year was $20 a week, or $15 prepaid). Booth spaces will all include a table and, if available and desired, a cart.
I want to encourage all vendors to think about committing to attending all 9 markets so that we can build as stable a market as possible. If customers know that certain vendors will be there each Saturday, we can build a loyal customer base. I will also be able to organize and plan with vendors what food items they will be bringing, making sure that food for sale is consistent, diverse, and avoid the problem of too much duplication of items.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
