Town of Roanoke Comprehensive Plan 2005
A Comprehensive Plan is a land use document that provides the framework and policy direction for land use decisions. Comprehensive Plans identify where and how growth needs will be met. These plans then provide the basis for many of the policies, regulation, and budget decisions that towns make. This document is the Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Roanoke that was developed in 2005 and is still in effect today.
Recommended Zoning Ordinances - Overlay Districts (DRAFT)
In January of 2009, the Roanoke Town Council authorized the establishment of a committee to develop recommended building guidelines for commercial districts within the town. As a result, the Design Guidelines Committee was formed to explore this topic. This document is the draft of recommended guidelines that have been incorporated into the form of zoning ordinances for consideration by the Town Council.

Roanoke Strategic Plan
In 2008, the Roanoke Chamber of Commerce determined that the town needed to develop a Strategic Plan to establish a vision for economic development and growth. The project was coordinated by an economic planning and development expert. A large number of business owners and residents from Roanoke were interviewed by the consultant and the findings were presented to the town for planning purposes. This document is the product of those efforts.
Recommendations to Council (DRAFT)
